On the 14th March 2010 I joined the YouTube DJ community by uploading my first YouTube video. It was just a little look at all of my DJ gear at the time. A short slide show with a commentary. Have a watch below…

Since then things have grown massively. As off the 30th of April 2011 I uploaded my 90th video. I have been really surprised by the huge community there is out there. You hear all the big names of Ellaskins, Brian S Redd, Direct sound and many more. But there is so much more than that. The amount of videos out there giving advice and sharing information is staggering. If you were thinking maybe I should see what YouTube is like DO IT! Its such great fun and to be able to help so many people is just fantastic. One piece of advice I will give you is don’t make videos to get as many views as possible. Because then you won’t enjoy it. Make videos so people will want to watch them. Make them visually interesting and be clear in what you are saying. It’s not all about the numbers.
Speaking of numbers!!! I uploaded my 100th video on 31st May 2011. Check it out below…

Hi
First of all I want to say thank you for all your videos on youtube. they have been a great help to me for the last few years learning to dj and various other things. I am now 20 and have developed a completly new concept and style of portable dj stand/booth. It is completely collapsable and very quick and easy to transport, set up and pack away. It is going in to “proper production” within the next few weeks and I am looking at all diferent ways to get publicity and marketing to try and make this a success.
I was wondering how you select the products that you review on your youtube videos and what deal you have with the manufacturers? I would love you to do one of my new product and I think you would be really impressed with it.
If you could get back to me that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Sam Martin.
